The Junior Paws Spirit and Service Club has been busy this spring! From the end of March to mid-April, Junior Paws sponsored a small toy collection for the Embrace Kids Foundation. The Embrace Kids Foundation assists children who have serious medical challenges. The donations of small toys will be given to children who are receiving medical treatments and need a fun break, or something to distract them from their situation. Please 'click' to read more.
Captain Jeff Lenarski of the Prospect Heights Fire Company visited with Mrs. Cline’s second grade class to pick up snack donations and thank you cards from Parkway School staff and students as part of ‘Feed the Fire’. At an assembly in February select students of Parkway Elementary School were asked to speak about youthful dreams and how to achieve them. This theme was continued throughout the month during Unity and other classroom activities. It is our goal at PES to use our 4RC character traits (Ready, Responsible, Respectful, Resourceful and Cooperation) to help us all achieve our dreams.
