Ewing Students Represent Incorruptible.Us Youth Tobacco Action Group of Mercer
Ewing students Delaney Arnold, Ella Sumners, Fatoumata N’Diaye, Michael Abelowitz, Gibson Arnold, Sarah Ashenfelter, and Calleigh McCormack stand with NJ Governor Murphy at a press conference regarding vaping and e-cigarettes.
Ten Ewing student ambassadors represented the District with students from five other counties at the Incorruptible.Us Youth Tobacco Action Group of Mercer County at the New Jersey Governor’s Press Conference on the results of the Governor’s Vaping Task Force. Governor Murphy released new policies controlling vape flavors and new standards for point of sale.
The students were also addressed by New Jersey Department of Education Commissioner Dr. Lamont Repollet, Assemblyman Herb Conway, heard addresses by Senator Vitale, Senator Turner, and Department of Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli. Students were asked questions by the many press outlets on-site, and shared the efforts Ewing is making to include peer to peer leadership on health education regarding the dangers of vaping, smoking, marijuana, and alcohol.
