Early Drop-Off Letter

 March 9, 2012

Dear Parents/Guardians

Please be reminded that students should not be dropped off at school prior to 8:45. If your child walks to school please help them to determine what time they should leave the house in order to not arrive earlier than 8:45 a.m. Prior to 8:45 a.m. there is no adult on duty.

We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our children, but we can only hope to protect them when there is an adult present. Teachers are on duty at 8:45, but not before. While there may be some teachers in the building prior to that time, which is their time to prepare for their students’ day.

Please do not have children arrive prior to 8:45, as there are no adults to supervise them before that time.

If you need to drop a child off before 8:45, you are welcome to use EDP (Extended Day Program) which begins at 7:00. To sign up for this program you need to call 538-9800, ext. 7179. If you need less supervised coverage your child may participate in the breakfast program which begins at 8:20 and is in the cafetorium.

Thank you for cooperating with us and helping us keep your child safe.
