Important District Communication: Confirmed Positive COVID-19 Student Case at FMS
March 24TH, 2021 4PM
Dear Ewing School Community,
We have learned of a Fisher Middle School student who has tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
This student was last in Fisher Middle School on Wednesday, March 17th. Our certified contract tracers have investigated this matter and strongly believe this was an outside contagion with little exposure risk at FMS. Never the less, any individuals who have been determined to have possibly been in close contact with this positive case have been identified and notified.
In accordance with public health guidelines, and out of an abundance of caution, these individuals will follow quarantine protocols and be kept out of school and do their work virtually for the established timelines.
The district will continue to take precautions to prevent the introduction and spread of viruses and other germs and is cleaning frequently-touched surfaces consistently.
Remember, do not send your child to school if they have had any contact with an individual who is sick, suspected of having COVID-19, or if they themselves are not feeling well. The daily COVID screening must be completed each morning, and no child should be sent to school if any indicator is checked.
