Important District Communication: Confirmed COVID-19 Close Contact Case at FMS

December 9th, 2020

Dear Ewing School Community,

We have learned that a Fisher Middle School student was a close contact to a confirmed household case of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

That student attended school on Tuesday, December 8th.

Our trained district COVID-trackers have conducted contact tracing and all staff and students who have been determined to have possibly been in close contact with this individual have been identified and notified.

In accordance with public health guidelines, and out of an abundance of caution, these individuals will be kept out of school and do their work virtually through next week.

The district will continue to take precautions to prevent the introduction and spread of viruses and other germs and is cleaning frequently-touched surfaces consistently.

Remember, do not send your child to school if they have had any contact with an individual who is sick, suspected of having COVID-19, or if they themselves are not feeling well. The daily COVID screening must be completed each morning, and no child should be sent to school if any indicator is checked.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Michael Nitti

Superintendent of Schools
