Paper Mill Playhouse Announces 2023 Rising Star Award Nominations!
EHS Senior Jayden White and EHS Drama Director Christina Monaco-Caldwell Nominated
Mrs. Christine Monaco-Caldwell is excited to announce that the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards results came out on Monday, May 1st for Ewing High School’s Drama Department’s production of AIDA.
All of Ewing High School’s lead performers and supporting lead performers, as well as the production team scored high enough to be recommended for an award in specific categories. Congratulations on a job well done!
The Rising Star Awards are like the Tony Awards for high school theatre. The Paper Mill Playhouse is a professional theatre company, closely associated to Broadway.

OUTSTANDING LEADING PERFORMER IN A MALE-IDENTIFIED ROLE:
Honorable Mention - Jayden White “Radames” in AIDA
OUTSTANDING EDUCATOR AWARD:
Final Nomination - Christina Monaco Caldwell
Mrs. Monaco-Caldwell was nominated along with eight other educators in New Jersey for the Outstanding Educator Award.
Jayden and Mrs. Monaco-Caldwell, will be attending the award ceremony on Tuesday, June 13th, when the 2023 Paper Mill Playhouse winners will be announced!
Mrs. Monaco-Caldwell will gladly share photographs from the red carpet and the awards ceremony upon their return to Ewing High School the next day.
