Maddalon to become New EHS Head Football Coach

Ross Maddalon will be joining the faculty and athletic staff of Ewing High School as a business teacher and the new head football coach.

Maddalon, currently a business teacher and top assistant coach at Cinnaminson High School, brings considerable football and coaching experience to the Blue Devils program.

A former gridiron standout scholastically at Nottingham High School, Maddalon has familiarly and deep connections to the Mercer County football scene.

Prior to joining the Cinnaminson staff, Maddalon was a longtime coach for the perennially strong Old Bridge High School program in Middlesex County.  Under his leadership, the Knights featured a prolific offense with one of the top running games in the area.

In 2016, he returned to his alma mater and joined the staff at Nottingham, where he was a key member of the Northstars staff until moving to Cinnaminson in 2019.

A graduate of Rider University, Maddalon has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education and promises to be an excellent addition to the Business Department at Ewing High School.

Maddalon takes over a Ewing High squad that won the division championship in 2021 and earned a spot in the state playoffs.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the Ewing High School football program,” Maddalon stated.  “As a coach, I always push myself to be the best teacher, motivator and guide to my players.  I emphasize effort, pride and integrity as key characteristics for a player to maximize their fullest potential.”

“Coach Maddalon was impressive during the interview process and brings a strong football résumé to Ewing High School,” Athletic Director Kyle Kaminskas stated.  “He appears to be a coach who truly cares about his players and is a man of integrity, and we are excited to have him lead the program.”
