Important District Communication: 2 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases at EHS/AES/FMS

February 1st, 2021                                            10AM

Dear Ewing School Community,

We learned over the weekend that a contracted service provider who works at Ewing High School and Antheil Elementary School and a teaching staff member who works Fisher Middle School have tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The contracted service provider works in a fairly self-contained environment and was last at Ewing High School on Tuesday, January 26th and Antheil Elementary School on Monday, January 25th.

The Fisher Middle School teaching staff member was last in school on Friday, January 29th.

Our trained district COVID-trackers have conducted contact tracing and all staff and students who have been determined to have possibly been in close contact with these employees have been identified and notified.

In accordance with public health guidelines, and out of an abundance of caution, these individuals will be kept out of school and do their work virtually through a quarantine period.

All school community members are asked to continue following the recommendations of public health experts and wear masks, physically distance, and avoid gatherings.

The district will continue to take precautions to prevent the introduction and spread of viruses and other germs and is cleaning frequently-touched surfaces consistently.

Remember, do not send your child to school if they have had any contact with an individual who is sick, suspected of having COVID-19, or if they themselves are not feeling well. The daily COVID screening must be completed each morning, and no child should be sent to school if any indicator is checked.
