Important District Communication: “In-Person” Instructional Programming Resumes on January 19th
January 15th, 2021
Dear Ewing School Community,
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we navigate the COVID-19 public health crisis.
As scheduled, we will resume our “in-person” instructional programming on Tuesday, January 19th.
As the public health situation remains challenging, it is essential that all of our COVID-19 practices and protocols are strictly followed. Designed and implemented in consultation with our health advisors, we do believe that our prevention measures are effective in providing a safe environment for our school community. However, we cannot get complacent or careless with our approach. Masks must always be worn appropriately, physical distancing must be practiced, and proper hygiene, handwashing and sanitary approaches have to be implemented and followed.
Please follow all CDC recommendations regarding COVID-prevention protocols. Remember, do not send your child to school if they are sick, have been around anyone who has been sick, or if any indicator on our daily COVID-screening form is checked! Again, that daily screening form must be completed by all staff and students.
Furthermore, do not send your child to school if they have been part of any gathering that was not in compliance with current COVID-19 restrictions and/or if they were part of any event where proper COVID-19 prevention practices were not in place. Also, if any member of the household has traveled, follow all established quarantine protocols.
Ewing High School and Fisher Middle School “in-person” students should check the school websites for the upcoming hybrid schedule. Tuesday, January 19th will be an A Day for EHS, and a B day for FMS.
We will, of course, carefully monitor the health developments for each school and the greater community. As has been emphasized since our reopening, each family should be prepared to pivot to fully remote learning platform if deemed necessary.
