  • FMS 8th Grade Orchestra to Premiere Original Piece!

    The Fisher Middle School 8th grade orchestra will be premiering a new piece of music composed by Dr. Steven L. Rosenhaus. Dr. Rosenhaus serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Composition at NYU Steinhardt’s Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions. The title of the piece is “Con el Viento (With the Wind)” and will be premiered by the 8th grade orchestra at the Winter Concert on January 17, 2019.

  • FMS & TCNJ Join Forces

    Fisher Middle School and The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) have joined forces to run a mentoring program (Stay In To Win) between the TCNJ Basketball Players (mentors) and a group of middle school students. The purpose of the group is to emphasize the importance of education and to model positive leadership skills.

  • SLIME & STEM Working Together!

    Mrs. Swain's 6th grade math class was treated to a guest visit by Kelsey Roth's aunt, Chrissy Holcombe. As a librarian, Chrissy uses math in variety of ways, including when she's creating slime with students in her STEM workshops.

  • FMS Meditation & Mindfulness in the Classroom

    Ms. Burdick, 7th grade English teacher at Fisher Middle School launched her first Meditation Room during lunch as part of a school-wide initiative to bring meditation and mindfulness into the classroom. The Meditation Room will run twice a week during lunch.

  • Fisher Parent Association Information

    The Fisher Parent Association (FPA) is a group of volunteer parents who organizes special events, field trips and fundraisers for our students. The FPA funds 100% of all field trips and extra activities like the 8th grade assembly and bagel breakfast. Please consider joining our membership and participate in our fundraising efforts and events. It is going to be a great year!

    **Please update your email address information today by using your Honeywell Instant Alert account!*** The Ewing Public Schools uses Genesis as its student management system. As the district continues to support sustainability initiatives and foster positive school to home communication, we are expanding usage of the Genesis Parent Access. Currently, district wide, parents complete five (5) “opening of school” forms through the Genesis Parent Access. For the 2018-19 school year, there will be six (6) “opening of school” forms as well as other new features. 'Click' for important information!

    On occasion, a parent may have a concern, complaint, suggestion or request related to a school decision or policy. Many questions are easily and completely answered by communicating directly with the person in charge of the class or program. Each situation should first be addressed at whatever level the initial action was taken, with appeals moving on to the next level in the chain of command.
