  • Fisher Middle School Presents SHREK The Musical, JR.

    FMS's Performing Arts Club continues the tradition of creating amazing productions with this year's musical, SHREK The Musical, JR. based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and Broadway musical.   • OBA Artwork on Display at Artsonia

    At The O'Brien Academy, Ms. Osborne uses this program to display each student's artwork in an online portfolio. Students' families, even those who live far away, as well as the public, can view these portfolios and leave positive, uplifting comments for the students to see. This helps the students to feel successful and confident in their art abilities.

  • Keana Nguyen's Art Featured as NJ Youth Art Month Exhibition

    Students at Fisher Middle School were recognized both at State and County levels in March for the Visual Arts. FMS 8th grade student Keana Nguyen's drawing featured at the New Jersey Youth Art Month Exhibition at the State House on March 8th. Keana received a certificate recognizing her work from Assemblyman Benson.

  • FMS Orchestra Attends NJMEA Junior High Festival

    Fisher Middle School's 8th Grade Orchestra attended their first orchestra festival, the New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA) Junior High School Festival at Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School on March 6, 2019. The 8th Grade Orchestra performed two pieces then worked with Dr. Joanne Erwin who was the judge at the festival.

  • FMS Intergenerational Club

    Fisher Middle School is proud of our Intergenerational Club, where 7th and 8th grade students have the opportunity to "adopt grandparents", or senior adults from Ewing Independent Living. It's exciting for our "grandparents" to interact with younger generations, sharing their years of acquired skills and knowledge, and at the same time enjoying the energy, creativity, and vitality of young minds.

  • Stall Day

    The FPA and would like to thank all students and parents for participating in Stall Day. Because of your efforts, they raised over $1100 dollars which will be put towards student activities that the FPA funds.

  • FMS "BREAKOUT BOX"

    FMS Faculty enjoyed using a new instructional tool, "Breakout Box" during a recent faculty meeting. Breakout Boxes are similar to escape rooms, where players use teamwork and critical thinking to solve a series of challenging puzzles in order to open the locked box. They look forward to using this innovative instructional technique with their students in the future.

    The Governor's Teacher and Educational Professionals Recognition Program was developed in 1985 for the purpose of recognizing and honoring teachers and educational professionals who exhibit outstanding performance. The motivation for this program is based on the premise that teaching excellence is one of the most significant factors impacting student achievement and the quality of public schools.

    The Fisher Parent Association (FPA) is a group of volunteer parents who organizes special events, field trips and fundraisers for our students. The FPA funds 100% of all field trips and extra activities like the 8th grade assembly and bagel breakfast. As the district continues to support sustainability initiatives and foster positive school to home communication, we are expanding usage of the Genesis Parent Access. Currently, district wide, parents complete five (5) �opening of school� forms through the Genesis Parent Access. Many questions are easily and completely answered by communicating directly with the person in charge of the class or program. Each situation should first be addressed at whatever level the initial action was taken, with appeals moving on to the next level in the chain of command.
