For the first time in a very long time, Mercer County moved back into the “High” category on the weekly New Jersey Department of Health COVID-19 Activity Level Report. As a result, we are recommending the wearing of high quality masks for students and staff for the next several weeks as we continue to monitor and evaluate this situation, especially when adequate physical distancing cannot be established. EHS Artists Achieve at Teen Arts Festival
It was an exciting day for the talented student artists of Ewing High School at the annual Teen Arts Festival, which was taking place live and in-person for the first time since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Ewing High School had a fantastic turnout with eight (8) 2D pieces and eleven (11) 3D pieces entered into the visual arts portion of the competition. The big news of the day was that talented EHS senior Makayla McCloskey’s sculpture not only advanced to the State-level of the competition, but was selected as a traveling piece, and will now be showcased throughout the state, being displayed in different municipalities for the year.

Ewing Schools Release: COVID Management Team Update-Thursday, April 14th
We wanted to touch base regarding some COVID-related items as students return to school on Tuesday, April 19th. As you may have seen in media accounts, there has been a recent uptick in COVID cases in the area, most likely attributable to the emerging “stealth-Omicron” variant. This increase in cases is expected to continue, especially in the aftermath of Spring Break traveling and holiday gatherings. As a result, we are recommending the wearing of high quality masks for students and staff during the first two weeks back from Spring Break, especially when adequate physical distancing cannot be established. Please 'click' this headline for important information.
