    Mr. Charles “Chuck” Welsh is Lore School's Interim Principal for the 2017-18 school year. Mr. Welsh retired in 2010 after a long and successful career as a teacher and administrator, culminated by a decade as a principal for the Howell Township schools. Since his retirement, Mr. Welsh has successfully completed interim principal positions at the West Long Branch School District and the Bear Tavern School in neighboring Hopewell Valley. He spent last year as an interim administrator for the Middletown Township School District. Mr. Welsh will bring stability, experience and leadership to Lore prior to the search for a permanent principal for Lore that will commence in early 2018.

    During the school year: 
     
    Please refrain from changing your child's normal end-of-day schedule. If absolutly necessary, send a note with your child in the morning so that arrangements can be communicated efficiently.  Any late changes must be received by the office no later than 3:00 p.m. to ensure that your child's teacher receives the message.
     
    Please call 538-9800 ext. 6100 to report your child's absence or expected lateness by 9:15 a.m.  Thank You!
     
    If your child will not be in school please call the Main Office at 538-9800 ext. 6100 by 9:15 a.m. as it is required that we account for each child. Absences must be followed by a written note explaining the reason for the absence.

    Select the School and pick the coverage for “24 Hour Accident Insurance”

     
    PARENTS/GUARDIANS WHO WISH TO APPLY FOR MEAL BENEFITS:
    You may complete a paper application or use the following two methods to apply:
     *   On-Line Application: at http://fs.ewingboe.org/sdms2/. You will need to have all of your children’s Student ID numbers.  The application will be determined upon completion.
     *  “Fill-to-print” Application at: https://www.ewing.k12.nj.us/Page/111 . You may scan and email the completed, signed application to foodservice@ewingboe.org, or return it to the Food Service Office at 220 Ewingville Rd. or send it through the US mail to Ewing Twp Food Service, 220 Ewingville Rd., Ewing, NJ 08638.
     
    PLEASE NOTE:  If your students attended Ewing Schools in June 2016 and where eligible for free or reduced price meals, they will receive these benefits until Oct 20th or until you complete a new application.  If there is a new student in your household (i.e. Kindergartener) you must complete a new household application before the new student receives free/reduced meals.     Please call Food Service if you have questions (609)538-9800 x7106
     
    Watch for the Lore Parents Association Information/Volunteer packet that your child will bring home.  Please support the LPA in any way you can as most of the enrichment opportunities are funded by the LPA.  We appreciate what they do for our students, your children.  Volunteers are always needed for various events/committees which are listed in the packet.  Thank you!
