The community is an important part of the Lore School family. With their assistance, whether academic or monetary, this is a partnership of which we are most proud.

    STARS/Parents as Partners

Parents are an integral part of the Lore School family. There is no way to build a true sense of community without their support. Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, Lore will be establishing a Parent/Teacher Association, moving forward from the Lore Parent Association (LPA).  The Lore Parent/Teacher Association will sponsor fundraisers and events which generate revenue for various activities that are planned throughout the year, as did the LPA for many years. The parents and community volunteers help during programs and special projects. They give classroom presentations, assist students academically, aid classroom teachers and provide support in many areas.

Another important component of community involvement has been expanded to include seniors assisting students in an academic setting. This program, STARS (Seniors Teaching and Reinforcing Students), is very successful in building a bridge between the community and the school. STARS assist in many areas. They may read a story to students, assist with letters and numbers, review flashcards and aid students in any way necessary. Students build a strong bond with these seniors.  They look forward to their return each week.
