Ewing, N.J. – In a special meeting on Wednesday, November 2, the Ewing Township School District Board of Education (BOE) officially appointed Dr. David Gentile as the new superintendent of schools.
“It was a pleasure to officially appoint and welcome Dr. Gentile as our new superintendent at last night’s meeting,” said Anthony Messina, president of the BOE. “The entire Ewing Township School District and the community will benefit from his years of experience as an educator and leader.”
Gentile has nearly 25 years of experience in education, including 14 years as superintendent in the Mt. Holly, Millville and Voorhees Township public school systems. He also recently served as the Chief Academic Officer of the Cumberland County Vocational School District, where he was responsible for student admissions, equity, and curriculum/instruction.
Gentile holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership Program and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, all from Rowan University.
