Every student in the school is encouraged to participate in the Parkway Panther Book Club (once called the 100 Book Club). Each grade level has a reading goal, which participants seek to meet. To keep students working towards their reading goals, students earn small awards as they return their recording forms throughout the year. Once participants meet their grade level goals, a T-shirt is presented to the student and their picture is placed on the bulletin board outside the library. At the end of the year (usually sometime in June), a celebration (pizza lunch) is held out in the courtyard for all students who meet their grade level goals. At this time a certificate and lanyard or pins are awarded!
