  • Fisher Middle School and Ewing High School Parent Letter Change in Program

As was previously communicated prior to the start of the school year, there is an opportunity for FMS and EHS students to switch to another program for the second (2nd) quarter which begins November 16th. It is expected that students will then remain in this placement for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. The Genesis Parent Access Registration Request Change Form will be available November 18th -24th . Only complete the Genesis registration form if you want to request a change in your child’s learning program. You do not need to complete the registration form for your child to remain in their current program. You will indicate whether your child will switch to the In-Person School or the Virtual Learning Program 2.0. 'CLICK' this headline for important information.

  • Important District Communication: FMS and OBA to be Fully Virtual until Monday, November 30th

CONTACT TRACING IS COMPLETED! We have learned that a second Fisher Middle School staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. Neither staff member was a classroom teacher, and one had worked mostly virtually with students and has not been in the building since November 2nd. Contact tracing and notifications of potentially impacted students are currently taking place regarding the newest case. FMS and OBA will send out an instant alert when the process is completed. Based upon feedback and “best practice” guidance from public health officials and other stakeholders with relevance and expertise, we have made the decision to make Fisher Middle School and the O’Brien Academy fully virtual until Monday, November 30th. (A Day)

  • Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Together at Home and School

Craig and Lynn Johnson are both physical education teachers in the Ewing Public Schools. The Johnson’s met while attending college at The University of Delaware where they both majored in Health and Exercise Science. While Fisher Middle School was totally virtual until October 12th as part of the district’s phased-in approach plan to bring back students, selected FMS staff members were shared with the elementary schools. Mrs. Johnson was assigned to Parkway School and this gave the Johnson’s an opportunity to co-teach together, just like in their college days.
