The boys' track team had a successful weekend at state sectionals. Medal winners were: Nasir Bland who finished second in the 55 meter high hurdles, Dah'vae Edwards-Chew placed 4th in the 400, and the 4 by 400 meter relay of Bey-Shan Clark, Tariq McKinney, Michael Ilesanmi and Dah'vae Edwards-Chew came in 6th place. These athletes will go on to compete in the state group championship in Toms River on Saturday, please wish them luck!
Senior, Blue Devil Diver, Andrew Ashton competed in the state selection dive meet yesterday at Montgomery High School and qualified for the the boys State Final!! Andrew dove brilliantly and complied a score of 320 points over 11 dives. Please congratulate Andrew on a great season and wish him luck as he heads back to Montgomery on February 26th for his final dive meet of the season!!!
Ewing diver Andrew Ashton had the meet of his life last night at Montgomery High School for the Mercer County Tournament. Andrew dove six times and complied a score of 178.40, earning him a 4th place finish, holding his own against some very talented divers. The female representing the girls basketball team MyAsia Jackson - In two wins over Steinert and Princeton MyAsia averaged 17.5 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3.5 steals per game. The girls currently have a record of 7 wins versus 3 losses.
The male representing the swim team is luke Shoplock - the senior Luke Shoplock earned Ewing's only first place finish at our meet against West Windsor South in the 500 freestyle. He has been competing as our top sprinter in past years, but in his final season with the Blue Devils, Luke has been training hard as a distance swimmer. He has dropped over 30 seconds in his 500 free throughout the season and earned multiple first and second place finishes in both the 500 free and the 100 back.The female representing the girls basketball team is Jacyee Lowe - Over the holiday break Jaycee surpassed the 1000 point plateau for her career against Toms River North. She also had a career high 34 points against Manchester during the break. She is currently averaging 20 points per game on the season.The male representing the wrestling team is Obi Egziegbo - After joining the wrestling team in his senior year Obi has found success on the mat early and often. After just 5 weeks of wrestling Obi has a record of 14-4 which includes a 2nd place finish in the Bart Payne Holiday tournament.
Ewing Diver Andrew Ashton scored an impressive 164.15 yesterday in a Montgomery Dive meet to take 3rd place for the day. Andrew dove well all afternoon in a very competitive field. Congratulations Andrew.... job well done!!!
