The EHS Coaching Staff Congratulates This Week's Athletes of the Week!
The female representing the Girls Lacrosse Team is Olivia Ruch: Olive is the driving the offense for the Blue Devils. She has scored six goals in the first three games of the season. Olivia, a senior captain, has been a huge connection between the attack and the defense players.
The male representing the boys track team is Michael Ilesamni: Michael began the spring track outdoor season right where he left off this past winter indoor season. In a team win over Robbinsville, Michael turned in first place performances in the long jump (20'2.75") and the triple jump (40'0") while also adding second place finish in the 400 meter sprint (52.4). His 13 points where a team and meet high for the day.
The Lady Eagles dropped their home opener to perennial powerhouse Pond Road. The girls played well for the most part and did some things very well. Pitchers Julia Smith and Mia Siminitus did not walk a single batter and they both had scorching hits. All the girls were aggressive at the plate, putting the ball in play, and forcing Pond Road to make the plays.
Congratulations to the Girls Track team for their efforts against Nottingham yesterday. The following athletes scored points for the team: Danielle Bayne, Helen Ogungbola, Zyon Howell, Stephanie Falzone, Makayla McCloskey, Oretha Dahn, Destiny Loving, Jayda Britton, Alyssa Clark-Livingston, Siarra Ruiz, Meara Hayes, Anaiya Carter, Malaysia Hudson, Kendall Crawford, and Illana Wade. Wish the ladies good luck as they prepare to compete at the TCNJ high school invite this weekend.
