The EHS Coaching Staff Congratulates This Week's Athletes of the Week!


    The female representing the Girls Lacorsse team is Tala Marzooq - Tala had 5 goals in two games against Nottingham and Steinert. She is the second leading scorer on the team for the season. She leads the team in ground ball controls. Tala is the team's center, and a driving force behind both the offensive and defensive units.


    The male representing the baseball team is Henry Hutchinson - Henry is hitting .321 on the year with 10 hits 2 runs scored and 4 walks.  Henry is leader on and off the field, and although the team is not having as great a year as hoped for Henry has stepped up and lead every day as best he can, staying positive, encouraging his teammates, and being a role model for the younger guys.








    The female representing the girls track team is Zyon Howell - Zyon Howell is only a sophomore and is a leader and captain on our team. She is highly motivated to succeed and is a team player. In addition to all of this, she is incredibly talented and multifaceted. Zyon competes in the maximum of four events at every meet (the 100, 200, long jump, & triple jumps) and scores points in every one. Recently Zyon took 4th place in triple jump at both the TCNJ Invite and Mercer County Relays, jumping over 34 feet! 


    The male representing the boys track team is Dalian Peck - Dailan Peck has had a torrid start to his spring season. In a dual meet victory over Nottingham on 4/10, Dailan won the long jump with a jump of 20 feet 9 inches and the high jump with a jump of 6 feet 2 inches. At the TCNJ High School Open on 4/13, he turned in a first place performance in the long jump (21'3.5") and a second place performance in the high jump (6'2"). 
    During the break his second place and third place performances in long and high jump both helped lead Ewing to wins over Hopewell Valley and Lawrence. In the last meet of the break at Mercer County Relays, Dailan was second overall in the high jump (6'2") and sixth overall in long jump (20'3.5") which helped his relay teams win the high jump competition and finish third in the long jump competition.





    Congratulations to the girls track team for their performances over the weekend at the Mercer County Relays. The Girls 4 by 1 and 4 by 4 teams placed 5th,  the 4 by 2 team took 6th, and the distance medley team took 8th. Also, Zyon howell took 4th overall in triple jump with a jump of over 34 feet. Please wish the girls good luck as they prepare to compete at the prestigious Penn Relays this week!
