FMS Band News

12/18/19: Don't forget that the Winter Concert is on Tuesday, January 14th. Students are to report to FMS by 6PM in concert dress.

10/11/19: Congratulations to all of the new Stage Band members! Rehearsals start on Tuesday, 10/15.

9/5/19: Welcome Back!! I am very excited to start the 2019-2020 concert season at FMS! Handbooks are due Friday, September 13th. Lessons start Friday, September 6th. Check the schedule in the upper right hand corner of this website if you need another copy.

5/14/19: Don't forget that the Spring Concert is on Wednesday, May 15th. Students must report to FMS by 6pm in concert dress.

9/24/18: Stage Band auditions will be held on Tuesday, October 9th. Students who play trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano, bass, guitar, and drum set are eligible to participate in the ensemble. See Mr. Silipino in the band room for more information and to pick up an audition packet. Don't forget to visit the Stage Band teacher page for more audition information. Good luck!

9/11/18: Welcome back FMS students! I am looking forward to the upcoming school year and working with all of you again. Don't forget that handbooks are due by Friday, 9/14.

12/21/17: The members of the FMS Brass Quintet along with the FMS String Ensemble spred some holiday cheer by performing at the Elementary Schools, the administration buildings and throughout the halls of FMS today!

1/8/17: On December 19th, Dr. David Vickerman, the Director of Bands at The College of New Jersey, visited the 7th and 8th grade band students at Fisher Middle School.

Dr. Vickerman served as a guest conductor for the day and gave the students some pointers to help them prepare for their upcoming winter concert. This experience helped the FMS band students gain a new perspective on their performance abilities.
