Dreams of Students at Parkway School!

I am a student here at Parkway School and I have a dream.  I have a dream that at the end of the day I will be smarter than I was at the beginning of the school day.   I have a dream that I will do things that will make my teachers and my family and most of all me, proud.  What is your dream?

Students, what is it that you want to be when you grow up?  What is your dream?  I dream about becoming many different things.  I dream about becoming a doctor, a lawyer, a chef and business owner, a teacher and a community activist.  I know that if I put my mind to it I can achieve any dream I hope for.  Have you started to dream yet?

Dreams coming true involve hope and hard work.  Are you ready for the challenge?  I am!  In order to achieve my dreams of the future I plan to spend the present being a great 4RC panther.  I plan to make choices that benefit others, not just myself and when I miss-step I plan to take responsibility for stepping off of the right path.  How will you achieve your dream?

Sometimes I dream small, sometimes I dream big, sometimes I dream in black and white, sometimes I dream in color.  I do dream.  I realize that coming up with the dreams is the easy part.  Making the dreams come true is the hard part.  What kind of dreams do you have?

My dream is to be a part of a community of kind and courteous people.  In my dream I am a mover and shaker.  I am a game changer.  In my dream I am an up-stander and not a by-stander.  In my dream all people feel safe in all places and I am a part of that happening.  What is your dream?

My dream is to smile and be happy more and to frown and complain less.  In my dream I am grateful for all that I have in my life and do not worry about what I do not have and someone else does.  In my dream people are not jealous or envious.  In my dream people celebrate each others’ gifts and work to share what they have with others.  What is your dream?

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  had a dream.  All of who we are and all of what we do is part of the dream that he spoke of.  The dreams that we have are pathways to the future.  I dream about greatness for myself, for you, for all of us.  I dream that we will all stand together to speak up for the poor, the speechless and the handicapped.  I dream that we will all work towards the greater good of all and not just for the good of ourselves.  I dream that we will strive to make this world a better place than what was given to use and leave it even better than that for our children.  What is your dream?
