Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we approach the fourth and final marking period, I would like to remind everyone to continue to work
with your children at home on their schoolwork. Each night in addition to your
child's homework, you should be reading with your child. Fifteen minutes a
night (Monday through Thursday) is a good habit, and it helps establishes
positive bedtime routines for your children.
The Spring and Summer months also provide
us an opportunity to read with our children outside in the beautiful weather. Model reading outside at your child's sports practice, at the beach, park, or even in your backyard. Encourage
your children to do the same. Remember, children will
imitate what they see their parents doing, so grab a book and read. It will be a positive example for your children.
Thank you for your
Edward J. Chmiel
